Purpose

BASS SISTERS MUSIC is the brainchild of Connie Bass, the eldest Bass sister. The projects are to bring hope to all people through the healing melodic sounds of the piano and organ performances of our sisters Dr. Ruth Bass Green and Lois Edwards.

We wish to honor our late parents, Rev. and Mrs. James B. Bass, who made the ultimate sacrifices to give us the best home, education, bible teachings, music discipline,  and “hard-work” ethic possible. Proverbs 22:6 King James Version of the Holy Bible…”Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

We dedicate our music to the memories of our late cousins Magnolia Smith Jones and Margie Fay Woods Jackson  whose music we grew up with in the Church of Christ (Holiness) USA.

  • We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope
  • I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear
  • Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase
  • Life's most persistent and urgent question is, What are you doing for others?
  • Never succumb to the temptation of bitterness
  • We may have all come on different ships, but we're in the same boat now
  • The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy
  • Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into friend
  • If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward
